VRT is the public broadcaster in Flanders, North Belgium. The channels consist of Eén, Canvas and Ketnet. Eén focuses on dynamic programming that appeals to an audience of all ages. Canvas focuses on five domains: national & international politics, art & culture, science, economics & business, and sport. The children’s channel Ketnet wants to develop a dialogue with children, but also with parents, teachers and youth workers, by responding to their interests and taking their participation seriously. AreaMedia is responsible for the distribution of VRT’s channels in the Netherlands.
